Total Knee Replacements – Tips on Regaining Hamstring Flexibility

After having a knee replaced getting full knee mobility back can be the hardest part of your rehabilitation process. If you do not get the full mobility back you will have improper gait mechanics which can lead to other symptoms of pain and fatique elsewhere in the body. One area that is neglected and at times not given the importance it requires is knee extension. During rehabilitation this will be addressed by the physical therapist since by not being able to extend your leg sufficiently will produce a walking pattern that lacks a heel to toe gait causing a faulty walking mechanics and a noticeable limp.
